Requirements for Detention Officer:
· Must be 21 years of age
· Must have either a high school diploma or GED
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Must have never been convicted of a felony or violent misdemeanor
· Must undergo a drug screen
· Must undergo a background check
Job Description for Detention Officer:
Officers will be required to perform all duties that are associated with maintaining security of the facility and the safeguarding of inmates assigned to the Detention Center. These duties include, but are not limited to, accountability of inmates, transportation, roving patrols, searches of living areas, issuing supplies, serving meals, and in-processing new receptions.
